8 Products to Keep Your Skin Cool in the Summer Heat

You may have noticed that's just a little hot outside.

You know, nothing crazy. Just a casual 96 degrees. *insert eye roll* I mean, not to be dramatic or anything, but my office feels more like an oven and I feel more like I'm going to combust into flames with every moment that passes by. Can you tell how much I love the heat and humidity?!

For the first time ever I live in a place with no air conditioning (something I'm still struggling to come to terms with), so, when I'm not at the beach, you can find me at my new permanent residence in front of the fan with a bevy of cooling treatments and products. I will try just about anything and everything as long as it promises to provide sweet, chilling relief even for a mere moment.

Below, I'm sharing a few of the coolest (pun intended) things on the block (or, in this case, my freezer) that I've found to keep your skin cool in the summer heat.

What do you do to keep your skin cool in the summer? Give me all the tips and tricks you got because, as far as I'm concerned, we all can never have too many ways to help us deal with the heat.

Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentre //

I love and use this lotion for so many reasons, but one of my favorite things about it is the cooling sensation it provides when I apply it (no refrigeration necessary). I've tried (and love) a lot of face creams but not are as cooling as this one. On the hottest days, you may or may not find me applying it at least 3 or 4 different times.

Cucumber Slices //

An oldie but a goodie, because they're quick, efficient, affordable, accessible and they're definitely cooling.

Peppermint Essential Oil //

This essential oil is very cooling and refreshing. I put just a few drops on my temples and the back of my neck for some extra cooling relief, paired with either the ice eye mask or ice roller, or just used on its' own.

Ice Roller //

I originally got this just to help de-puff my face in the mornings, but this little tool has quickly become a favorite of mine. It's great for relieving pressure from headaches, I roll it on the back of my neck if I'm experiencing neck and shoulder tightness, and I use it all over my face to quickly cool down. It's so refreshing.

Ice Eye Mask //

I bought this to help with terrible migraines (which it definitely does), but now I pop it on my eyes for about 10 minutes to help me cool down, or I just keep it on my forehead for a continuous cooling effect. #newtrendalert #trendsetter

Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask //

This mask feels incredibly refreshing after a day in the sun, but also works wonders anytime you need help cooling down. Bonus chill points if you pop it into the fridge first. Oh, and if the gel mask isn't quite your thing, they also make a sheet mask version, eye patches and a cucumber facewash.

Electrolyte Powder //

I never really understood this product, until I received some in a gift box. I started mixing a glass up before my workouts and immediately noticed a difference, so now I use it anytime I'm feeling particularly hot and dehydrated and it helps almost instantaneously.

Avène Thermal Water Spray //

I've long sung the praises of this product and for good reason. It works. Plus, it's unbelievably refreshing. I rarely travel or go to the beach without, and throught a hot day, I find myself almost constantly misting my face with it. I also really love a good rose water spray and find those to be super refreshing and cooling, as well.
